SAP C/4HANA: SAP bundles solutions and focuses on the customer

With the acquisition of the already well-positioned software solution Callidus Cloud SAP continues the strategy of further expanding its intelligent suite in the field of customer experience. At the annual SAPPHIRE NOW customer conference, the company announced that the solution includes Callidus Cloud which provides lead-to-money, sales performance management, configuration, pricing and offering solutions, with the Hybris and Gigya solutions bundled in the SAP CRM Suite C/4HANA.

Intelligent Customer Experience Suite: SAP is complementing its Front Office Suite with Callidus Cloud

The already well-known SAP Hybris portfolio includes:

  • the extensive SAP Hybris marketing features (e.g. selecting specific customer groups in real-time to make offers as required),
  • the SAP Hybris service functions to increase customer loyalty through predictive scenarios (how will customer needs change in the future?)
  • and SAP Hybris omni-channel commerce and revenue solutions that enable vendors to reach their customers across channels.

At the end of 2017, SAP added Gigya to its portfolio, thereby expanding the SAP Hybris solution. Gigya enables the collection and management of customer data within the network. The highest priority is the protection of the privacy of the customers.
With Callidus Cloud, SAP is now supplementing its Front Office Suite with sales functionalities that will be integrated into Hybris Cloud for Sales in the coming weeks.

In addition to the existing features in the Sales Cloud, the following options should be added:

  • Sales Performance Management
    This solution enables the performance of the entire sales organisation to be measured and changed. The Sales Performance Manager can increase target achievement and sales productivity.

  • Configure Price Quote (CPQ)
    CPQ leads the sales through the quotation process – whether at the desk or with a customer. CPQ provides automated estimate and quotation processes and provides information on pricing behaviour, that is, which products sell best at what price, to who, and at what time.

SAP C/4HANA: The customer is at the centre

With the expansion of the proven Hybris portfolio, SAP continues its strategy of setting up the C/4HANA suite with the focus on customer engagement and experience with the newly introduced S/4HANA world.

In our eyes, Callidus Cloud and Gigya are useful additions to the SAP Cloud service portfolio. It is clear that in the future, SAP will expand more in this segment, making it a serious competitor, if not the leading provider of customer engagement solutions. Customers who already use SAP solutions should definitely consider favouring Hybris solutions over third-party vendors. Results are visible especially in the field of integration, savings potential and the possibility of reducing errors.
