What was announced as a digital festival, sure lived up to its name: SAP Switzerland and their partner companies offered an impressive potpourri of future-oriented digital solutions at the SAP Forum in Basel. The focus was also on Q_PERIOR. The business and IT consultancy introduced the first successful launch of S/4HANA Enterprise Management in Switzerland and also took 3rd place at the coding challenge of an IoT project!
What conclusions do the first implementers draw from their S/4HANA implementations? Q_PERIOR’s customer BKW Energie is a pioneer in the S/4HANA environment and can offer up concrete experiences about the solution. In two sessions, they reported about their experiences with the globally first implementation of SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Management – the solution which opens the path to future-proof processes to all specialist business areas. The presentation, which was well attended with other 100 participants, provided a comprehensive insight into the “lessons learned” from this Greenfield implementation.
The latest Stromer E-bike model at Q_PERIOR’s exhibition stand did not only catch the eyes of recreational athletes – the linking of applications, Blockchain technology and SAP Cloud Platform (HCP), also attracted technically versed non-sports friends. SAP had called for a coding challenge for the development of disruptive business models at the trade fair. The aim of the participating team was to develop a realistic use case from the field internet of things (IoT) within 30 hours, which offers customers a new service or product. For this, application prototypes were developed with cloud-based SAP technology.
The team of Q_PERIOR designed a business case which could contribute to the improvement of the life quality in the public sector: the monitoring app for a potential E-bike rental service. Using this app, rental bikes can be found and rented, their locations can be tracked and payment can be handled via smart contracting. The E-bikes transmit data to a HANA Cloud Platform (HCP). The integrated Blockchain technology allows for smart contracting and thus for individual price calculation. Add-ons include Geofancing, which e.g. triggers an alarm or locking of the E-bike in case of insufficient funds.
In a first step, the jury, which consisted of development experts and university representatives, nominated the teams for the final round, in which Q_PERIOR took 3rd place in the audience voting. By participating in the InnoJam, the technology team of Q_PERIOR proved that Q_PERIOR is not only at the forefront when it comes to SAP implementations, but is also a pioneer in the consultancy sector for the development of technological visionary projects.
Congratulations to our successful Q_PERIOR team!
