Where innovation happens – Q_PERIOR at the START Summit
“The brightest minds are the curious minds“, was the statement by sales expert and author Jack Vincent at the opening ceremony at the START Summit 2017. The focus of the three-day event in St Gallen was on the topics technology, innovation and entrepreneurship. Q_PERIOR joined the innovative crowd.
The core topics of the Summit – internet of things, artificial intelligence, augmented and virtual reality as well as Blockchain technology attracted great interest among the participants of the event. Q_PERIOR was represented on site with two consultants. “For us, participation was interesting in two ways: Firstly, to look for cooperation opportunities with the event organizers and start-ups, and secondly, as an inspiration for the development or our consultancy business”, explains Lars Erdmann, Partner Business and IT Consultancy. Identifying relevant trends and setting the course for the development of the service portfolio is essential in the consultancy business. There could hardly have been a better opportunity: The START Summit, organized annually by committed students of the St. Gallen University, counted more than 2000 participants this year, including around 850 international students and more than 450 founders and 170 investors. Also, around 300 companies were represented at the event. The diverse program made it possible to learn new things from renowned industry, business and technology experts, and to exchange ideas with participants and make new contacts.
“Experiencing what possibilities the new technologies such as virtual reality already offer today, was a fantastic source of inspiration for new business ideas for our customers”, Lars Erdmann said after the event. “We will share the interesting insights gained at Q_PERIOR.”
