Update: New 1802 release of SAP S/4HANA Cloud available now
In the upgrade, SAP developers focused on improving user-friendliness, expanded functionality for machine learning, in-memory analyses and context-based collaboration. These enhancements form the basis of innovation in the areas of finance, procurement, sales, production and service provision.
Overview of the main new features of SAP S/4HANA Cloud:
One focus of SAP S/4HANA Cloud is the automation of manual routine tasks in finance. The new release, for example, offers the automated processing of remittance advice on the basis of machine learning and SAP Leonardo.
With the help of a new situation-based processing tool for order confirmations and professional order requests, early warning of risk and automatic preventive messages are issued to customers where delivery deadlines are jeopardised.
Machine learning enables your sales division to determine likely levels of new orders and sales volumes. Two new functions are available for companies with sales offices that do not manage their stocks centrally; these make it possible to manage stocks more efficiently.
A facility management app enables the planning of workflows and provides an overview of required maintenance and potential bottlenecks. To avoid surprises in production, there is a new function for the real-time tracking of yield quantities, rejects and quality. The material flow is assured with functions that monitor buffer jams and recommend restocking measures.
In the service area, the new 1802 release offers a full overview of services not yet invoiced. The application flexibly plans and checks non-chargeable hours (for such services as onboarding, customer support and meetings) with work packages and proposals. These can then be automatically cleared before the customer is invoiced.
